Make Your Own Bulk Pancake Mix

I have never really been a fan of store bought pancake mix. I have a recipe for homemade pancakes that we love. Instead of mixing it up each time I figured out how to make a bulk mix from it. I just mix the dray ingredients in an ice cream bucket whenever we run out.

Dry Pancake Mix

6 cups all-purpose flour

6 tablespoons baking powder

6 tablespoons sugar

2 cups instant nonfat dry milk powder

1 tablespoon salt

To make the batter:

1 1/2 cups pancake mix

1 cup water

1 egg, beaten

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

We also from time to time mix in fresh berries or chocolate chips into the batter.

Thank you!! I had a recipe once that was just like this but lost it. The recipes I found online all called for shortening (ewww) and to refrigerate. I have been trying to find another dry mix recipe and I will make this one tomorrow!

Add some malt powder and they will taste like pancakes at the local diners.

Thank you so much! I love the idea, and have never even thought of doing it. Have you ever tried to make it a waffle mix as well, similar to the Bisquick mix?
